Premachandra Magammana is not a famous personality in Sinhalese literature.
Though that is the case he has published several books to enrich Sinhala literature.
I have reviewed one of his 'literary criticism' books in 2017. The link is shared below.
It is evident that this book is inspired by Martin Wickramasinghe's famous novel Madol Doova (1947). But not having a linear storyline is a weakness of this novel by the author.
Though it doesn't take readers to new dimensions of a new experience it is a very enjoyable read.
I went through the review, and i must correct you. This author happens to be a neighbor of my Grandmother Hailing from the village of pallegama close to Pugoda, where i spent much of child hood filled with beautiful memories of village life. All the names of locations used in this book are real and I have enjoyed similar activities in my childhood, the story is based on Mr Premachandra’s childhood events, and how kids enjoy the village life.
