Relaunch of "Wijaya Sathuta"

The brush strokes of the ever popular Sri Lankan cartoonist have been brought to life with the re-launch of the "Sathuta" cartoon magazine.

The weekly "Sathuta" magazine was one of the first cartoon magazines to be published in Sri Lanka.

First published in 1972 by the Lakehouse Group., the magazine was renamed "Madura" in 19XX prior to it's discontinuation in 19XX.

"The daily Lankadeepa" have launched a revamped edition of the "Sathuta" cartoon magazine last Wednesday, 7th of March.

However, this time around the magazine is issued free.

Though the quality and the content of the comics in the magazine is a bit average this is a very commendable initiation considering the current Sri Lankan comic industry.
