Reading Khalil Jibran in Sinhala - 03 : Broken Wings (1912) [Sinhala translation - 2001]
The final reading experience of Jibran has become one of the best and the greatest sinhala translations that have brought "Gibranism" to the sinhalese readers in a grand manner.
A love story set in the lebanon in 1900's reflects a tragedy of a poet who falls in love with a women who is tangled into cultural barriers, eventually the book has a sad ending.
This is the best "Gibran" reading I did.
Highly recommended to any "Gibran fanatics".
This was translated into sinhala referring to Anthony R. Ferris's novel in english which was translated from Arabic.
Sinhala translator is Mr. Ananda Amarasiri who is a translator in the Sri lankan literary scene.
